Grow with Further Education and Training in your community.

Further Education and Training in your community can help to find the best in you. Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board and our community-partners across the region offer hundreds of free courses in the heart of your local community.
Information and guidance is also available to support you to make choices on what the right course might be for you. Further information on this service can be found here.
In line with COVID-19 restrictions, many courses may be delivered through a combination of online teaching and classroom-based learning at our campuses and our community-partner locations.
Many of these community education projects have received funding under the Government’s Mitigating Against Educational Disadvantage Fund. The aim of the fund is to support community education for adult learners, who have the highest level of need, with a strong focus on building the digital infrastructure of community education providers to increase the capacity to deliver online learning.

Campus-based courses

Part-time Further Education and Training offered at our many campuses provides learning opportunities based on the needs and interests of individuals, groups and communities. It starts with a person’s lived experience and its purpose is to allow for personalised learning, as well as developing skills and knowledge. It can be certified or uncertified and can provide a stepping stone to further learning, qualifications and work.

Life isn’t all about work and neither is learning. You might be interested in learning a new skill for the enjoyment of trying something new, taking up a new hobby or meeting new people.

Examples of uncertified courses could include:
